Plan Your Wine Tour Itinerary
Seneca Lake Wine Trail wineries are a safe place to visit, despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We are dedicated to upholding high levels of cleanliness and best practices to help protect our staff, our local communities, and our visitors. We are happy to provide the following tips to help you plan your visit to Seneca Lake. If you have specific questions that aren’t addressed here, feel free to give the Wine Trail Administrative Office a call: 607-535-8080.
Here are the most common questions answered:
- Do I need to wear a mask? The easiest answer is: probably. Effective 12/13/21, per state mandate, masks must be worn indoors at businesses and event venues. Alternatively, a business may ask for proof of vaccination to allow fully vaccinated individuals to opt out of the mask-wearing requirement. Whether a winery requires everyone to mask or chooses to ask for vaccine proof is up to each winery individually, so your experience can – and likely will – vary. This mandate is in effect until at least January 15th, after which the state will re-evaluate based on current conditions. In short, please bring a mask and be prepared to wear it as asked by the winery you’re visiting.
- How many people can I bring with me? Most wineries limit groups to no more than 4 to 6 people, on average, though many do have special reservations or arrangements available for larger groups. Please do not visit in a group that is larger than a winery’s stated maximum or assume that you can split into smaller groups. Always confirm winery policies before booking transportation or making plans.
- Do I need reservations? The short answer is, it depends. Most wineries accept walk-in visitors, but that varies from winery to winery. Each winery’s individual policy is outlined below. We keep this list as up to date as possible.
