General Information

Sometimes instincts can take you places. At J.R. Dill Winery, we believe in trusting our instincts. We roll up our sleeves and work with local friends and farmers, to source grapes that give us the best opportunity to produce high quality Seneca Lake wines.

We are located 6 miles north of Watkins Glen on the east side of Seneca Lake. Tastings are available on a first come, first served basis. Enjoy historic photography, our lake glass bar, view of the production area, and gorgeous views of Seneca Lake while you sample.

About Us

J.R. Dill got his start 20 years ago in his parents basement making wine. Since then J.R. Dill has been perfecting his craft and will see his 12th harvest of commercial wine production this year. The winery continues to grow its production while still being completely hands on. There is a strong passion for wine and Seneca Lake, as J.R. Dill lived here since the beginning.
