Chef Linnea Shumway

Linnea Shumway is a chef who has been working professionally since she graduated from Paul Smith’s College with a Bachelors’ degree in Culinary Arts in 2013.  Before that she grew up making bag lunches and dinners for her three siblings.  She currently works at F.L.X. Hospitality with Christopher Bates in the finger lakes in New York as the Culinary Director running the kitchens at F.L.X. Wienery, F.L.X. Table, F.L.X. Fry Bird, and the Catering Team at Feast & Co with more restaurants to come.  Linnea won the Northeast Regional San Pellegrino Almost Famous chef competition in 2013 and honed her skills working at Twin Farms, a Relais and Chateaux property in Vermont.  When she isn’t working, Linnea is raising chickens and pigs at her homestead in the Finger Lakes or starting, but rarely finishing, many sewing projects.
