Fox Run Vineyards is a premium boutique winery located on the western shore of Seneca Lake. Come and experience the beauty of Fox Run while enjoying a complimentary vineyards tour and wine tasting by our friendly and knowledgeable tasting room staff. Treat yourself to a bite in our Café & Market, open April - November, which features a wide variety of local cheeses and charcuterie, salads, soup, wine by the glass or bottled every day from 11-5. The winery is open daily Monday – Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 11-6.
Join Fox Run for our Annual Glorious Garlic Festival the first weekend in August. Admission is free. Celebrate everything garlic and join us for food, music, vendors and wine!
In late 2012, the New York Wine & Grape Foundation reported the following news:
"An ever-increasing number of wineries are producing "vineyard designated" wines, which especially makes sense with Riesling since that grape most dramatically reflects "terroir"--the combination of climate, soil, topography and other factors which make each vineyard unique. Fox Run Vineyards ... is even going a step further with its new "Geology Series" of wines inspired by ancient history. The Fox Run Riesling Geology Series highlights the geological terroir of its Seneca Lake vineyards, providing a 21st century link to a landscape created thousands of years ago by Ice Age glaciers. So far, two vineyard blocks--Lake Dana Vineyard Block 11, and Hanging Delta Vineyard Block 7--have been identified based on the distinctive fruit they each yield. "
