About Us
Located on the east side of Seneca Lake, directly on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, our 1870s Italianate Manor has been exquisitely revived and stands ready to welcome you for a delightful, relaxing visit to the Finger Lakes.
Tillinghast Manor is not a Bed and Breakfast.Β It is a Bed and Brunch, a unique concept. Many BNBs serve breakfast during a regimented time to allow for quick turnover of rooms.Β Our philosophy is when you are on vacation, sleeping in is a much-needed pleasure.Β To accommodate late risers, for an additional fee, we will serve Brunch on your schedule. Brunch is five courses with a wine cocktail.
When your day is done, we invite you to sit out on the patio, enjoy the firepit and your favorite adult beverage from the Wine Trail.Β Β Β
There is a statement that βYou can never go home again.βΒ The owners of Tillinghast Manor would disagree.Β No matter where you are from, when you spend a few relaxing days in the Finger Lakes you feel like you are home.
About Your Hosts
Jean OβDonnell-Smith, Manor Manager, is all about the business of your vacation.Β Her goal is that when you walk through the doors of Tillinghast Manor, you leave your cares behind and βchill-lax.β.Β Mike Smith, the Inn Keeper, hails from Southern California.Β He is laid back a la Jimmy Buffet.Β Mike has updated the infrastructure of the Manor. Mike has been and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure your stay is comfortable.Β He is perfecting his French Omelets, Eggs Benedict and other tasting treats.Β Check out our Facebook page to see all his yummy creations.
Amenities & Services
We have four rooms all with private bathrooms, king beds, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator.Β We provide in-room breakfast items such as fruit,Β yogurt, juice, and a snack basket for those who do not wish to pay for a hot brunch for an extra fee.Β Each room has their own shower with shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. The Elizabeth Β Room has a clawfoot soaking tub with free spa items.Β The Roosevelt Room includes Hannahβs Parlor which is your private sitting room with couch, TV,Β dining table and double bed.Β The downstairs Library is available to our guests.Β The room has a TV, dining table, large leather couch and books about the Finger Lakes, Amish, Suffragettes, hiking and waterfalls of NY. Outside is a patio with seating, tables, firepit and lawn games.
