As you look out at Seneca Lake from the tasting room, you will view Glass Factory Bay. The namesake of our Brew House. Ontario Glass Manufacturing Company operated on this site from 1810 to 1830 and again from 1841 to 1847, producing cylinder blown window glass. The company owned 300 acres for the factory and 1,500 acres of woodlands. The community that developed around the factory consisted of sheds, an office, a church, a school, a store, and houses for the workers. In the late 1860’s fire consumed what was left of the buildings leaving nothing visible of what once was.
