As a special addition to the Sunset Saturday line-up this year, we have collaborated with the Seneca Summer Music Festival Orchestra to fundraise for the Natalie Kim Student Award at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
In October of 2023, the daughter of David Kim, the Concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Natalie Kim passed away at the age of 23. In her honor, the Natalie Kim Student Award was created. Every year, the SSMFO raises money for a cause and brings music to our community. This year, the chosen cause is this scholarship. The Orchestra will play a variety of light classical favorites including the works of Tchaikovsky, Strauss, Anderson, Sousa, Wagner, and more.
The concert has no cover charge but the music organizers will accept donations throughout the show. Doors open at 6:30 PM with musical entertainment starting at 7 PM. Outside food will be allowed for this occasion and seating in the lawn is available on a first-come first-serve basis. You are welcome to bring your own lawn chairs.
