Watkins Glen State Park

About Us

One of the most iconic parks in New York State, you can experience 19 waterfalls in less than 2 miles in this gorgeous spot.

Trails

The Gorge Trail is the best way to see the waterfalls up close. It is open seasonally, generally from late April through the end of October. It is a pathway of about a mile and a half, which winds along Glen Creek, alongside and behind waterfalls, with stone steps. It is not handicap accessible nor is it stroller friendly. Dogs are not allowed on the Gorge Trail.

The Rim Trail is open year round and essentially, skirts the top of the Gorge. Dogs are allowed on the Rim Trail. You can check Trail conditions and inform yourself of any Trail closures here.
