Located just south of Geneva, on the west side of Seneca Lake, make Glass Factory Brew House your first stop as you are headed down the lake. Typically, our tastings consist of a hard cider, 3 to 4 different styles of beer, and finished off with a delicious root beer. On Saturday and Sundays afternoons, savor a pint while enjoying live music in the Brew House or outside on the patio (weather permitting).
A stop at Glass Factory Brew House gives you a taste of beer, root beer and hard cider produced right here in the Finger Lakes. The beer and root beer are crafted and brewed on Seneca Lake, while Rootstock Ciderworks in Williamson crafts our hard cider. At Glass Factory Brew House, you typically sample Rootstock’s Original Hard Cider, 4 different styles of beer, and a handcrafted root beer. The beer and root beer are available in growlers and half growlers. Bring your own and we will refill! The cider, is sold only in 22 oz bottles.
As you look out at the lake from the tasting room, you will view Glass Factory Bay. The namesake of our Brew House. Ontario Glass Manufacturing Company operated on this site from 1810 to 1830 and again from 1841 to 1847, producing cylinder blown window glass. The company owned 300 acres for the factory and 1,500 acres of woodlands. The community that developed around the factory consisted of sheds, an office, a church, a school, a store, and houses for the workers. In the late 1860’s fire consumed what was left of the buildings leaving nothing visible of what once was.
Beer … Wine … Live Music. What more could you ask for!
