Operations While Under Covid-19 Guidelines
Open every day, 11am-5pm for seated tastings indoors. The maximum group size allowed is six people, and we do not split groups. Our tasting experiences are hosted outside on a first-come, first-serve basis.
We expect guests to wear a mask upon arrival, but once seated with your party, you are not required to wear a mask.
Guests will be able to choose five wines to create their own “Tasting Flight.” Servers will help guests make selections and bring the customized flight to the guest’s table. Seated tastings include pours of five wines for a fee of $10. Wine Club Member tastings are free.
Guests may also purchase wine-by-the-glass or by-the-bottle to enjoy while at Boundary Breaks. We also offer Local Cheese, Cured Meat, and Fresh-baked Bread for purchase.
Our retail wine shop is located inside the traditional tasting room area. This area currently is available for the purchase of wine by the bottle. No tastings are permitted in this space at this time.
Our staff will be wearing masks. We have installed multiple hand-sanitizing stations. Bathrooms inside will be limited to only the number of people that can occupy the space at an appropriate social distance.
We are off-the-beaten path, so you won’t find large crowds at Boundary Breaks. You are welcome to come to taste our wines, bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the expansive, uninterrupted view of Seneca Lake.
Since we began planting vines in 2009, we have focused on the quality of our vineyards. We believe great wine is made in the vineyard, and our site near the shore on the east side of Seneca Lake is a gift that allows us to produce pristine, ripe fruit.
Since our first Rieslings were released in 2013, the majority have scored 90 points or higher in multiple wine publications. And we aim to keep them affordable. More than 1,000 Wine Club members receive 20% off and pay between $15 and $20 per bottle for these award-winning wines.
Boundary Breaks’ Rieslings have twice been named to Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s list of Top 100 Wines in the World. Today, we manage more than 30 acres of vines, the majority of which are Riesling. Recently, we have begun planting Cabernet Franc, a grape that is well-suited to the Finger Lakes. In time, we expect Cab Franc to join Riesling as one of the signature varieties of this region.
Our goal is to help you find several wines that suit your tastes when you visit Boundary Breaks. We offer customized flights of five pours of wines of your choice for $10. Wine Club Members taste for free.
There are more than 2,000 members of our Wine Club who enjoy free wine tastings at Boundary Breaks as well as a 20 percent discount on any bottles of wine that they purchase. These Wine Club members also agree to purchase six bottles in the Spring and six bottles in the Fall. Members choose the wines they want as part of their Spring and Fall purchase.
We hold a weekend event in the Spring and Fall for Wine Club Members to pick up their wine if they prefer. Should Members wish to pick up their wines, but cannot attend the Pick-Up event, they are free to pick-up their Club Wines at any time approximately two weeks before or two weeks after the event.

GROUPS OF SIX OR FEWER ONLY
At the present time, we do not accept groups of more than six guests in a party. We do not split groups. No buses or limos.
We find that individuals in larger groups behave differently than they do when alone or in smaller groups of two to four people. This is especially true when alcohol is involved. This is a firm policy. Experience has shown us that this enables us to maintain a comfortable atmosphere for all guests.
DOG PARK GUESTS
We have a fenced-in dog run that guests are free to use while they are tasting.
