DESCRIPTION:Five competitions will be held throughout the day; 12pm\, 1pm\, 2pm\, 3pm\, and 4pm. \n\nSign up in War Horse upon arrival\n10 steins available per competition\n\nThe Prize: \n\n3L Beer Stein\n$50 War Horse Brewing/TBW Gift Card\nBragging Rights\n\nHow to Compete and Win: \n\nThe competitor who can hold their stein with proper form (as described in the rules below) for the longest without being disqualified by the judge will be considered the winner.\nAn infraction of any rule will result in a strike being issued by the competition judge. After two strikes\, the third strike results in immediate disqualification of the competitor.\nIf any amount of beer spills or drips off of the stein\, the competitor is disqualified\, regardless of the number of strikes previously assigned.\nOnce the match has started and the competitor has extended their arm\, they may not set the stein back down\, switch hands\, or touch the stein with their off-hand to make any adjustments to grip.\n\n*Steinholding Training Tips \nU.S. Steinholding Association Official Rules: \n\nA 1L dimpled glass stein with handle must be used. The stein itself should weigh approximately 3 lbs. Steins used for any given competition should be of the same brand and style\, and should be provided by the establishment hosting the competition to ensure consistency.\nThe stein must be filled with liquid to the 1L lip.\nThe stein must be gripped by the handle.\nThe thumb may not rest on top of the stein handle; it must rest on the other fingers.\nThe pinkie finger may be held outside of the handle. If the pinkie is outside the handle\, it may only touch the handle\, not the main body of the stein.\nThe stein must be gripped such that the front of the stein faces away from the competitor. The stein may not be gripped sideways.\nLimited arching of the back is tolerable\, however only minimal leaning is acceptable. In the vertical plane\, the competitor’s elbow must never cross behind the front of the hips or the front of the ankle of either foot.\nLeaning to the left or right side is unacceptable; the upper torso may not be noticeably angled to the left or right side and the line between a competitor’s shoulder blades should remain close to parallel to the ground.\nThe stein must be held out directly in front of the competitor\, not out to the side. The line between a competitor’s shoulders should remain close to perpendicular with the arm holding the stein.\nThe arm holding the stein must remain close to parallel with the ground and should be extended straight with no bending at the elbow.\nThe arm holding the stein must remain separated from the chest of the competitor. The chest may not be used as a shelf to support the arm.\nThe off-hand should remain at the competitor’s side or back and may not touch or support the arm holding the stein.\nCompetitors may not contact any other structures\, objects\, or people during the competition.\nCompetitors must stand within their personal area and may not move more than is necessary to make adjustments ensuring proper form during the competition.\nIf any amount of beer spills or drips off of the stein\, the competitor is disqualified\, regardless of the number of strikes previously assigned. NOTE: During outdoor competitions or humid conditions\, judges should be sure to differentiate between dripping resulting from condensation or sweat\, and dripping resulting from beer spillage.

DESCRIPTION:Raedwald discovered\, and immediately loved finger style country blues after attending a Doc Watson concert in Ithaca\, NY in 2004 at the State Theatre. He bought a CD and listened to it over and over. A friend from United Radio in Syracuse introduced him to my future mentor\, Bert Stevens who turned him on to the likes of Reverend Gary Davis\, Mississippi John Hurt\, Roy Bookbinder\, Dave Vanronk and other blues musicians. He and Bert played together regularly for about six months before he played my first open mic at Shifties in Syracuse\, NY. \nThat was the start of Raedwald’s passion for performing. He plays covers and originals in both Piedmont and Delta styles and a wide range of genres including\, reggae\, Calypso\, classical\, jazz and folk. His instrument of choice is a round neck resonator and I am currently playing a National and a dreadnought wood body Eastman\, He is proud to keep a special and profound musical genre alive. Join us as our Winemakers\, Craig Hosbach and Angie Lawler & Chef Brud Holland guide us through the building blocks of food and wine pairings in our historic barrel room. Chef Brud Holland has created an enticing five-course dinner menu focused on local and delicious Autumn ingredients to highlight the abundance of the Finger Lakes. \nCourse 1: Salad paired with 2018 Blanc de Blancs: Remembrance Farms field greens\, Riesling poached pears\, Stony Brook pepitas\, Lively Run feta\, Silver Queen raspberry vinaigrette. \nCourse 2: Vol-au-Vent paired with 2021 Kaiser Chardonnay: Hudson Valley Fisheries hot smoked steelhead trout\, butter crisp shell\, classic ratatouille\,  lemon. \nCourse 3: Manicotti paired with 2021 Semi-Dry Riesling: Crosswinds Dairy “Morning Glory” cheese\, Whole in the Wall Spinach Parmesan pesto\, Highland Farms rabbit sausage\, double sauced with Anaheim green chile and sundried tomato sauces\, Muranda Cheese Company Farmhouse Parm. \nCourse 4: Bison paired with 2021 Unoaked Lemberger & 2021 Merlot: Mud Creek bison tenderloin medallions\, cocoa & white pepper dry rub\, buttery wild foraged mushrooms\, mashed Yukon Gold potatoes with Farmer Ground polenta bites. \nCourse 5: Double Panna Cotta paired with Hedonia: Pittsford Dairy cream and milk crafted into layers of Fuji apple & vanilla bean and pumpkin cardamom panna cotta\, Lemberger poached plums. \n*Due to the nature of the menu\, we are not able to accommodate any menu substitutions or dietary restrictions for this event. \n*Wine Club Members- In order to receive 10% off your event ticket in Tock\, you must enter the same email address as the one that is associated with your wine club account at Fox Run.
