Getting to the Seneca Lake Wine Trail is incredibly easy. It is less than a five hour drive from several major metropolitan cities, including New York City, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. Any many other sizeable cities, like Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, Buffalo, Binghamton and others are within an even shorter drive.

From the New York City area: Escape the City and get on Route 17/Interstate 86 going West. After passing through the village of Horseheads (which as of June 2006 was mired in highway construction) take Exit 52A and turn left at the end of the exit ramp. At the next light, turn right onto Route 14. Continue following Route 14 all the way to Watkins Glen.
From the Pittsburgh area: Escape the City and get on I-79 going North. Merge onto I-90 East, Exit 178A, towards Buffalo. Merge onto I-86/Route 17, Exit 37, towards Jamestown. Take Exit 46. Turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto 414 North towards Watkins Glen.
From the Buffalo area: Get on I-90 going East. Take Exit 42. Proceed South on Route 14
From the Albany area: Get on I-90 going West. Take Exit 42. Proceed South on Route 14.
A majority of our member wineries are either directly on, or one road off Route 14 (which stretches the entire length of the west side of Seneca Lake) or Routes 96A and 414 (which together stretch the entire length of the east side of the Lake). Navigating around the Trail and finding our member wineries is remarkably easy, especially when you are armed with our current Seneca Lake Wine Trail brochure.
