Watkins Glen, NY - The Seneca Lake Wine Trail announces its 2008 Bargain Bash event hosted by over 28 wineries on Seneca Lake from January 12 - 21, 2008.

The Seneca Lake Wine Trail's events season is in high gear, starting off with our annual Bargain Bash! Unlike our other events, this week long sales event does not require tickets. Think of Bargain Bash as being like a big, Trail-wide spring cleaning, garage sale. And it isn't just wine that is on sale, but many types of items at the various retail shops virtually all wineries possess.

Paul Thomas, executive director of the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, stated "Everybody is looking for deals these days. And during Bargain Bash on Seneca Lake, the opportunities are numerous. Plus, while visiting wineries and hunting down bargains, visitors can safely enjoy sampling wines along the way!"

A sample of the available deals are listed below:
Amberg Wine Cellars:  Red Baron on sale for only $5/bottle. Belhurst Winery: Select wall prints are 50% off and select clothing 50% - 75% off. Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards: Cream Sherry, a winter warm up gift for all of Hazlitt's loyal customers. This double-gold medal, fortified wine is now offered at just $7.69/bottle. Villa Bellangelo  - Anyone visiting Villa Bellangelo during Bargain Bash will receive a special Bargain Blast Balloon containing a surprise discount coupon. Pop the balloon to reveal the bargain inside. Discounts range from 10% - 50% off and special giveaways.

While the winter months can sometimes bring heavy snowfalls to Western New York State, the same temperature buffering effect provided by Seneca Lake that makes it a great place to grow grapes, simultaneously helps the region to oftentimes avoid the worst snowfalls.
