Dear Fans of the Trail: With spring feeling like it is just around the corner now, we thought we would take a few minutes and update you on events and activities in and around the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. White Springs Winery First off we want to welcome White Springs Winery as the newest member of the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. With a beautiful new tasting room just south of Belhurst Winery, and north of Fox Run Vineyards, White Springs Winery's Winemaker and President, Derek Wilber has been crafting fine wine in the Finger Lakes Region for decades, and will undoubtedly continue forward in this tradition at White Springs Winery. For those of you attending our weekend wine and food pairing events, please note that White Springs Winery is participating in those events, though due to their recent joining are not listed in our 2007 brochure nor on the event tickets that were already printed when they joined. Cruisin' The Tropics And while the weather this winter, with a few exceptions, has been relatively mild, our ever-popular Cruisin' The Tropics weekend tickets are still selling like hotcakes! At last count there were only a few dozen tickets remaining, so if you have been considering attending this unique event, now is the time for you to obtain tickets. Provided the event does sell out, as it looks like it will be doing, we will try to sell a few additional tickets, swapping out the standard gift item with some nice wine glasses we have stashed away here in our office. Here are just a few of the fun themes some of the wineries will be creating in support of this event: Lakewood Vineyards, Fantasy Island. Serving Couscous Salad with Lemon Shrimp and paired with their award-winning Long Stem White. Arcadian Estate Winery, Polynesian Paradise. Enter a “Way Cool” Polynesian Paradise at Arcadian Estate Winery. Festival participants will enjoy a “Way Cool” Caribbean side dish paired with award winning wines. On Saturday Chef Arthur Marc will be on site for food demonstrations including his famed Chicken Wing Sauce. But the weekend doesn’t end there as Keith Harden will replace our upstate cabin fever blues with his southern style blues and folk guitar melodies on Sunday. Belhurst Winery, Cheeseburger in Paradise. As a food pairing, guests will sample our Caribbean Mini-Cheeseburgers paired with our Traditions Dry Rose. Once guests finish their burger, they are invited to go on our Caribbean Treasure Hunt, for a chance to win a night’s stay at Beautiful Belhurst! Guests who purchase at least $40 in the Wine & Gift Shop will receive a Belhurst $5 Treasure Coin - which they can use towards more paradise in Belhurst’s restaurants or lodging! If that’s not enough, guests may register to win a Belhurst Winery Easter Basket! Anthony Road Wine Cellars, Puerto Rico. Employee Camille, whose family are natives of Puerto Rico, have given Anthony Road a recipe for arroz con pollo (rice with chicken). Spring Wine and Cheese Weekend Tickets are also still available for this perennial event, and are also selling quite robustly. This year, for the first time ever, our friends at McCadam Cheese are our event sponsor! Makers of terrific cheese, made from milk from our New York State farmers, McCadam will help us ensure you that this is the best Wine and Cheese, with the best food ever! Red Newt Cellars will be spinning the "Wheel of Cheese" with every sale, with special prizes or discounts being associated with each segment of the wheel. Tickets for these events can be purchased by calling our office toll-free at 877-536-2717 or visiting this webpage: http://www.senecalakewine.com/osc/ New Email Lists As most of you are already aware we have been continually developing both our website and emailing system. Each of them are intended to be most convenient for everybody from the most casual, to most intense, fan. 1- Annual Update Please select this list if you would like to receive only one email per year, usually sent at the end of each year, giving you the following year's event dates. 2- E-blast Newsletter Sign up for Seneca Lake Wine Trail News!! Fans of the Trail can subscribe to this newsletter to find out about upcoming events, contests, ticket availability and more! We value your inbox, and will only tend to send no more than 6-10 emails each year. This assures you that we won't be deluging your inbox with emails constantly, with us only sending you meaningful emails when appropriate. 3- Deal Seeker List!
