Chocolate & Wine Weekend - January 2007

Dear Fans of the Trail:

The Seneca Lake Wine Trail is now full swing into our events season, and the romantic, ever-popular Chocolate & Wine Weekend is now right around the corner. With 31 participating wineries (more than ever) you can look forward to even more delicious food, in greater variety, paired with an ever-growing assortment of wines for every palate. I can think of no better way to celebrate Valentine's Day with a loved one, than by spending the entire weekend together, sampling wine, chocolate and simply enjoying each other's company in our beautiful, wintry wonderland. Certainly if I wasn't working in the office most of the weekend, this event would be exactly where I would be taking the woman I love!

And with the incredible success of our events packaging last year, we have opted to expand this program, with several hotels, bed and breakfasts, transportation companies and restaurants collaborating together to provide you with one-stop shopping for practically all your Seneca Lake Wine Trail wind and food pairing weekend events. Please visit our website to find out more about which fine accommodations have taken the time to line up these affordable, comprehensive event packages, especially if you're the kind of person that wants to make one call, and get everything taken care of quickly and efficiently.

Also, for the first time ever, the Trail has partnered up with Harry and David! With over a hundred retail stores around the country, Harry and David is a recognized producer of truly world class chocolate and other fine foods. Their chocolate, as I can personally attest to, really tastes like rich, tasty chocolate! Not just flat, sugary candy, like most chocolate out there. The gift basket that will be awarded to a random event participant will be provided by Harry and David and undoubtedly will have a number of extraordinarily delicious chocolates and other tasty treats! Furthermore, they will be generously providing an additional gift item to all Chocolate and Wine Weekend attendees. Their Waterloo store, located in the Waterloo Premium Outlets facility just a few minutes from the northeast corner of Seneca lake, will be holding a one day only Chocolate Dip & Sip event with demonstrations, recipes and free sampling, February 10th from Noon to 4 pm.
